- The i3 is a new model for BMW in 2027.
- The automaker offers two financing deals, but no lease offers are available.
- Other premium EVs may offer better value.
BMW revived the i3 electric vehicle (EV) for the 2027 model year, bringing it into the modern age as a sleek sedan. Despite being on sale for only a short time, BMW is reportedly offering a decent financing deal for the car, including promotional interest rates but no cash back or rebates.
Industry publication CarsDirect reported the 2027 BMW i3 is available with 60- and 72-month financing terms and interest rates of 4.99% and 5.99%, respectively. While that’s a solid opening offer, CarsDirect also noted the 2026 BMW i4 has lower rates, and it’s available with up to a $3,750 rebate for finance, lease, or cash buyers.
The i3 isn’t what most people would consider affordable, even with financing offers. The car starts at around $63,000, and options can quickly increase that price. Even so, the car has impressive specs, including 463 horsepower, a driving range of up to 468 miles, and a zero-to-60 mph time of 4.5 seconds.
BMW is unlikely to expand i3 deals anytime soon. Most automakers don’t offer extensive discounts or incentives until a vehicle has been on sale for a while, typically to boost sales before a new version arrives. The first lease offers for the i3 have monthly payments of around $1,000, so financing might be the best choice for a time.
Impressive specs help the i3’s case with buyers, but there are better deals out there. The Tesla Model 3 Performance has a shorter driving range, but it’s quicker to 60 mph and is available for $649 per month after a $3,000 down payment. Other luxury EVs, such as the Audi S e-tron GT, also offer better incentives, but that vehicle starts with a 6-figure price.
