Recall Alert: Toyota Sequoia

Toyota has recalled 43,395 Sequoia SUVs from model years 2023 and 2024 with tow hitches because their tow hitch covers can fall off.

Toyota tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)  that an improperly designed tow hitch cover can loosen in everyday driving. Should a tow hitch cover fall off in traffic, it might “be perceived as a road hazard, potentially increasing the risk of a crash,” the company says.

Dealers will replace the tow hitch cover with a part of a new design and “modify the rear bumper to accept the new part,” Toyota says.
