Recall Alert: Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer

2022 Jeep Grand WagoneerJeep has issued a recall for about 45,000 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs from model years 2022 and 2023 because their side curtain airbags might not deploy properly in an accident.

The problem, Jeep tells federal safety regulators, is that trim on the pillar between the front and rear doors might interfere with the airbag. The company says customers “may notice a loose fit and/or rattle” in that area. But the problem can be present without the rattle. So, owners should plan to bring their cars in for repair regardless of whether they notice the issue.

Dealers will inspect the trim and, if necessary, reseat or replace any problematic pieces.

Recall repairs are always free. Manufacturers try to reach every owner to warn them. But some always fall through the system’s cracks and are left unknowingly driving recalled cars. Check our easy recall tool to find out if your car has any outstanding recalls.
