Porsche Debuts Mid-Level Macan Electric GTS

The 2026 Porsche Macan Electric GTS in blue seen in profile
  • Last year, Porsche debuted an all-electric alternative to its Macan SUV with trim levels offering between 355 and 630 horsepower
  • This year, a Goldilocks option joins the lineup, the GTS, with up to 509 hp

No automaker offers as many options as Porsche. The performance company’s lineup can stretch to absurd variety — 911 shoppers can choose from 20 trims before they even consider color or options.

So, when the company introduced its Macan Electric last year, we figured the four trim levels on offer were just a first draft. Sure enough, this week, number five appeared.

For the 2026 model year, the Macan Electric will get a GTS model. In case you don’t speak Porsche, that’s the Goldilocks model. It has some of the high-performance equipment of the top-of-the-line Turbo model, but not all of it. That keeps the price in the midpoint of the range.

The 2026 Porsche Macan Electric GTS will start at $105,580, including a mandatory $2,350 delivery fee.

509 Horsepower, Unless You Hit That Button

  • The GTS starts with 509 hp, but surges to 563 with launch control
  • Suspension and steering upgrades should bring handling close to the top-of-the-line Turbo model

The GTS gets its added performance from the high-powered rear motor of the Turbo model, but uses the front motor from the base model. Together, they make for 509 hp in daily driving, with a boost to 563 with launch control.

Porsche says the combination is good for a zero-to-60 mph leap in 3.6 seconds — yes, in a midsize SUV weighing two and a half tons.

Handling upgrades include a lowered ride height and the Porsche Active Suspension Management system that levels the active air suspension. Rear-wheel steering will be available as an option.

Dampers and roll bars get a GTS-specific tune. Porsche says two selectable sound profiles help underscore its “dynamic ambitions acoustically” to add to the emotional experience.

Distinctive Front and Rear Fascia, Rocker Panels

  • The GTS gets a unique look thanks to black highlights and wider rocker panels
  • Inside, stitching to match the exterior will be optional

It will be easy to spot the Macan Electric GTS. “The front, side, and rear of the car are highlighted by accents painted in black — a characteristic of all Porsche GTS models,” the company says. It will also get unique front and rear fascia, though Porsche will introduce those as options on other models later in the model year.

“Wider rocker panels that extend further out towards the rear help to visually distinguish the Macan GTS from other models,” the company says.

Inside, Porsche’s Race-Tex faux leather covers everything, including the steering wheel, shifter panel, and armrests. Optionally, stitching can be colored to match some exterior shades.
