Expanding the reach of its Custom Shop to the truck side of the FCA lineup for the first time, the Mopar ‘16 Ram Rebel takes what is already a high-profile variation on the Ram pickup to a new level of functional flash. Based on a 2016 Ram 1500 4×4 Rebel Crew Cab with the 5.7-liter/345-horsepower Hemi V8 and 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic, the Mopar ’16 Rebel will be offered in Brilliant Black or a two-tone Flame Red/Brilliant Black scheme. Combined production will be held to just 500 trucks. Beyond cranking up its visuals with a unique accessory package, buyers will be able to further personalize their ride using additional dealer-installed accessory items.

Key elements in the basic Mopar ’16 Ram Rebel include an aluminum, dual-bezel sport performance hood with black graphics, prominent off-road wheel flares also done in black to match the satin-black on its 17-inch alloy wheels. Other pieces include a blackout front skid plate in place of the normal silver billet piece, an underbody skid plate to protect the steering box and a selection of Mopar blue-and-black accent stripes. Inside, the Mopar ’16 Ram Rebel features stainless-steel doorsill guards with an embossed Ram logo as well as a serialized Mopar ’16 glove box badge. In keeping with tradition, each Rebel will come with a unique owner’s kit that contains a selection of Mopar ’16 trinkets, a brochure and a metal “birth certificate” that highlights the truck specs, date of manufacture and its VIN number.

Pricing for the Mopar ’16 Ram Rebel will start at $53,655 when it arrives in selected dealerships this summer. However Mopar points out that any number of Custom Shop accessory items can be added to create a more personalized example of its latest hot rod, including a cold-air intake system and a freer-flowing cat-back exhaust system.
