Land Rover and Range Rover have recalled 180 vehicles from model year 2024 because their rearview cameras may not display an image.
Recalled models include the:
- 2024 Land Rover Defender
- 2024 Land Rover Discovery Sport
- 2024 Range Rover
- 2024 Range Rover Evoque
- 2024 Range Rover Sport
- 2024 Range Rover Velar
The company tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that the problem develops because two microchips inside a sensor module were installed without heat shielding. On long drives, they can overheat, tripping a reset mode in the camera unit.
Dealers will replace the entire module to fix the problem.
Recall repairs are always free. Manufacturers attempt to contact every owner, but they don’t always reach them all with the news. Find out if your car has ever been recalled at our recall center.
