- Jeep is rolling out a new Wrangler special edition every month for a year
- The latest? The Wrangler Whitecap uses a white top to salute historically significant Jeeps
Jeep has unveiled a special-edition 2026 Wrangler that pays homage to historically significant Jeeps and looks retro-cool doing it. It’s also one of the cheaper special editions we’ve seen.
True, it’s inexpensive because it doesn’t differ much from stock Wranglers. But it’s a simple change that looks fantastic, and is available for as little as $495 over the sticker price of a normal model.
The 2026 Wrangler Whitecap is a package available on the Rubicon X, Sahara, and Rubicon models.
It’s a callback to Korean War-era U.S. Army Jeeps. That’s when the military first decided that the soft-top army Jeep needed a hardtop option for cold weather. They requisitioned an aluminum hardtop, which the company then sold to civilian Jeep owners only in white.
For 2026, Jeep will add a white painted hardtop roof to the Rubicon X for just $495.
Sahara models get a more extensive package, including the hardtop (also available in body color), a white 7-slot grille insert, and a white side stripe decal. That adds $2,690 to the sticker.
Rubicon models get the most complete package, with the hardtop, stripe, grille insert, a white hood decal, and the option of a Sky One-Touch powered top in Bright White. It costs $3,185.
The Whitecap is the second of twelve special-edition Jeeps that Jeep plans to release over the course of a year. It follows the Wrangler Moab 392 revealed last month.
