Genesis has teased its high-performance Magma brand several times over the last few years, but we’re now getting solid details as we approach the first model’s release. The automaker released pricing for the 2027 GV60 Magma, a 600-plus-horsepower electric SUV with seriously impressive specs.
The 2027 GV60 Magma arrives with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $71,495, including the $1,545 destination charge. Similar to the related Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, the GV60 Magma sports a dual-motor electric powertrain with up to 641 hp during the temporary boost mode, an electronic limited-slip differential, and a range of track-ready tech features.
The GV60 Magma is lower and wider than the standard model, and it comes with exclusive aerodynamic bodywork elements, including a winglet-style rear spoiler. It rides on 21-inch wheels with wider sport tires for better grip and cornering speeds.
Inside, Genesis equips a 27-inch OLED display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a Bang & Olufsen audio system comes standard. Other standard features include heated and ventilated front seats, cloud-connected app features, a surround-view camera system, and a full suite of advanced driver-assistance features.

While demand for electric vehicles can be hit-or-miss here in the U.S., Genesis executives believe the GV60 Magma will draw more people to the brand. Genesis North America’s chief operating officer, Tedros Mengiste, said, “GV60 Magma marks an exciting new chapter for Genesis as we expand our lineup to meet the evolving needs and passions of our customers. As our first high-performance model, GV60 Magma combines exceptional performance, advanced technology, and bold design to create a driving experience that is both emotional and engaging.”
The first GV60 Magma models will soon reach select dealers in California, New York, and New Jersey. A wider rollout is expected over the coming months, similar to the way Genesis released the standard GV60 model.
