Ford has recalled 101,944 Taurus sedans from model years 2016-2019 because a piece of exterior trim can fall off into traffic and become a road hazard.
Car designers letter the three pillars that hold up a car’s roof from front to back. The company tells federal safety officials that exterior trim on the B-pillar — the support between the front and rear doors or the middle support — can fall off.
Dealers will inspect the trim and reattach it if necessary or replace it if missing.
