Ford has recalled 323 Maverick pickups from model years 2025-2026 because their moonroof glass can detach and fall off.
Ford tells federal safety officials that “a material quality issue” with an adhesive left some moonroofs insufficiently attached to trucks. Owners might notice wind noise or water leaks from the roof area as the problem develops.
The company knows of only one loose moonroof on a customer truck, reported in Brazil. Inspectors believe the problem may exist on other trucks built around the same date.
To fix the problem, dealers will inspect the moonroof and replace it if they find anything suspicious.
By law, dealers never charge for recall repairs.
Automakers recall many cars to fix safety defects, sometimes more than once. While automakers try to reach every owner to ask them to bring the vehicle in for repair, they rarely get them all. Millions of vehicles on American roads need free recall repairs. To find out if your car is one of them, check the easy VIN tool at our recall center.
