Ford is recalling 102,159 pickup trucks due to instrument cluster defects that affect tachometer and speedometer readings. The following models are included in this recall:

  • 2025-2026 Ford Super Duty: F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, and F-600
  • 2026 Ford F-150
  • 2026 Ford F-750 SD

In a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) filing, Ford noted the affected trucks were equipped with a faulty analog instrument cluster. This can cause issues with the tachometer and speedometer, resulting in them becoming stuck or moving erratically and providing inaccurate readings to the driver, the automaker reported.

A malfunctioning speedometer may prevent drivers from knowing how fast they are actually traveling, increasing the risk of a crash. Vehicles with an additional digital speedometer function may show a difference between the actual speed and what the analog speedometer in the cluster shows.

Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the issue, but 18 warranty and 93 field reports have been filed regarding this issue. Owners of affected vehicles can take their truck to any Ford or Lincoln dealership to have the faulty instrument cluster modules replaced. This will be completed free of charge, as with all recall repairs.

Ford will begin sending mail to those affected by this recall starting Oct. 26. Planned remedies will be mailed beginning Dec. 7.

Millions of cars are recalled, sometimes more than once. While automakers do their best to notify every vehicle owner affected by a recall, they don’t always reach everyone.
