Some cars come with cool perks that drivers of other cars never hear about. Buy a Toyota GR86, for instance, and you get a complimentary track day with coaching from a professional driver at a National Auto Sport Association track event.
Ford Bronco and Bronco Sport buyers get the off-road equivalent through Ford’s Bronco Off-Roadeo events. But you have to buy a Bronco (starting price $34,890, and hard to find at that price) or a Bronco Sport ($31,230 and easier to find) to qualify.
But not anymore.
Ford announced a half-day version of the Off-Roadeo program for a far smaller fee — starting at $795 for a driver and up to three guests. They’ll get to borrow a Bronco for the 4-hour experience but not take it home.
Ford hosts the Off-Roadeo at three locations: Mount Potosi in Las Vegas; Moab, Utah; and Horseshoe Bay, Texas. Travel and accommodations are not included.
Coaches will guide participants through “critical off-road skills like selecting your line, throttle control, and maintaining traction to tackle even the trickiest trail obstacles.” Participants will also get lessons in “Bronco culture,” — so prepare for a hard sales pitch as part of the price of admission.
Drivers must be 18 or older, and guests must be at least 12. Sign up at broncooffroadeo.com.
