Dodge Unveils Two Limited Edition Durango Models

When the first Hemi V8-powered Dodge Durango rolled off the assembly line, “Lost” was winning Emmy awards, Maroon 5 picked up a Best New Artist Grammy, and George W. Bush was starting his second term in the White House.

Twenty years later, they still build those things. But not for long.

Dodge announced in January that it would end Hemi-powered Durango production this year.

That doesn’t necessarily mean the Durango itself will disappear. It will likely soldier on into 2025, powered by Dodge’s Hurricane inline 6-cylinder engine family. The most powerful of those, a turbocharged high-output model, rivals a V8 on sheer power while using less gasoline. But the V8 holds a romance for many Americans.

If you’re one of them, Dodge is building a series of Last Call special edition Durango models for you. Two will debut this week.

Both use the 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi, putting out 710 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque. Power goes to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The 2025 Durango R/T 20th Anniversary model will start at $68,565 (a $66,970 manufacturer’s suggested retail price [MSRP] plus a $1,595 destination charge) and come with two trim options, Plus and Premium ($72,065).

It features a black Hemi hood graphic, 345 fender badges in a metal Dodge calls “Brass Monkey,” and wheels of the same color. Inside, carbon fiber accents set it apart. Buyers get exclusive access to the SRT Track Experience at Radford Racing School in Chandler, Arizona, as part of their purchase.

The R/T includes the Tow N Go package, which boosts towing capacity and adds an adaptive suspension and performance-tuned steering.

The 2025 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Silver Bullet will start at a whopping $114,920  (a $113,325 MSRP plus a $1,595 destination charge). It comes painted in a silver Dodge calls “Triple Nickel,” with a satin black hood, 20-inch gunmetal gray wheels and 6-piston Brembo brakes with red calipers.

Inside, it gets Ebony Red Nappa leather seats, SRT Hellcat logos accented with sepia stitching, and a suede headliner and steering wheel.

The SRT Performance Package is included. It provides race-useful information like a g-force meter, a lap timer, and a built-in dynamometer readout.

Both models are now available for order. Dodge says each is a limited edition but hasn’t revealed how many it plans to build.
