Stellantis, parent company of Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, and other brands, has recalled 219,577 vehicles because their backup cameras can fail.
The recall covers some, but not all, examples of the:
- 2019-2020 Dodge Journey
- 2019-2021 Ram ProMaster
The company tells federal safety regulators that a microprocessor in the cameras can crack, leading to a blank or inverted image.
Dealers will replace the rearview camera to fix the problem.
