We recently crowned the transformed new 2017 Volvo XC90 and its Sensus infotainment system with our Best Auto Tech Award, thanks in large part to its exceptional integration of Apple CarPlay.
In fact every infotainment system in our test was equipped with Apple CarPlay, and some with Android Auto, because that was our one hard requirement for an invitation to the test. These systems are just starting to show up at dealerships, but it won’t be long before car buyers rank them as important as Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
Apple has compiled a list of models confirmed to offer CarPlay, and here’s what it looks like as of January 31, 2016. We’ve excluded the models not sold in the U.S.
