The Smaller Side of Midsize Luxury
Known as the M37/M56 until Infiniti's wholesale nomenclature revamp for 2014, the Q70 is one of the smaller entries in the midsize luxury sedan segment but also among the most fun to drive. In addition to a well-regarded V6, the performance-oriented Infiniti Q70 also offers a big V8 -- an option that isn't available on the Lexus GS.
From our 2015 Infiniti Q70 full review: "Even though it gets parched quickly, the Infiniti Q70's V8 can hustle you along back country roads and long stretches of highway comfortably. The 3.7-liter V6 is no slouch either and can get around dawdling vehicles with ease."
The hybrid setup puts out 360 horsepower, and achieves 29 mpg in the city and 34 on the highway. When it was introduced, this system earned a Guinness World Record as the world's fastest-accelerating full hybrid car.
