2019 Mazda CX-9 Priced, Upgraded

Mazda’s flagship crossover SUV, the 2019 CX-9, returns with new available features and 3-row utility in a midsize package powered by a 250-horsepower turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine. While the exterior carries over, the improvements include upgrades to the infotainment system, suspension settings, new cabin amenities and enhanced driver assists. The 2019 Mazda CX-9 will again be available in four trim levels, Sport, Touring, Grand Touring and Signature.
Chief among the changes on the infotainment front is the availability of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, which is now standard on Touring trim levels and above. Engineers have also retuned the suspension for a smoother ride and sound insulation is enhanced with the use of thicker headliner material and floor mats. Other new features include the availability of a 360-degree monitor, ventilated front seats and a 7-inch TFT reconfigurable gauge cluster on the Grand Touring and Signature models.
Pricing starts at $32,280 for the front-drive CX-9 Sport models, and $34,080 for all-wheel drive. A $1,290 sport package adds a power driver’s seat, heated front seats, heated door mirrors, automatic headlights with high beam control, lane-keep assist and lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, rain sensing wipers and automatic emergency braking.
The 2019 CX-9 Touring is priced from $35,300 for front- wheel drive and $37,130 for AWD. Grand Touring models start at $40,840 and $42,640 for AWD, while the all-wheel drive Signature is $45,365. Destination is $995 extra in all states except Alaska, where it is $1,040. A rear seat entertainment system costs an additional $1,995, Mazda mobile starts at $550, a retractable cargo cover is $325 and a 3,500-pound trailer hitch is $450.
