All-New 2027 Kia Seltos Pricing Announced

Kia America has announced pricing for the second-generation Seltos subcompact crossover SUV, first introduced in the U.S. in 2020 as a 2021 model, earning our Best New Model award. Because the first generation was born during the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2027 model receives significant upgrades in design and tech that push the car from very good to great, including the addition of a hybrid variant. While we don’t yet have pricing for the long-awaited electrified Seltos, here is the breakdown for the gas-powered model:

Using the familiar Kia trim hierarchy, the Seltos will be offered in LX, S, EX, X-Line S, and X-Line SX flavors. Prices below include the $1,495 destination fee for the continental U.S.

TrimPrice including destination fees
Seltos LX FWD$26,485
Seltos LX AWD$28,185
Seltos S FWD$27,885
Seltos S AWD$29,585
Seltos EX FWD$29,885
Seltos EX AWD$31,585
X-Line S$30,485
X-Line SX$34,285

Power & Drivetrains

The 2027 Seltos comes standard with front-wheel drive (FWD) but offers all-wheel drive (AWD) on every trim level, including the two new X-Line options that get it as standard equipment. They also open the option for the more powerful 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, making 190 horsepower through an 8-speed automatic. The standard 2.0-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder drops output to 147 hp through its continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) but offers improved EPA fuel economy figures. Unfortunately, Kia is not revealing how much upgrading to the turbo engine on X-Line trims will cost at this time.

Adding AWD to the LX, S, and EX trims tacks on $1,700 to those respective prices, but when equipped with the turbocharged engine, X-Line trims swap out the standard AWD system for a more advanced torque-vectoring setup.

Small Price Increase

Compared to the 2026 model, the entry price for a new Seltos is $1,200 higher, while the pinnacle X-Line SX trim is priced $1,300 higher than the previous SX trim. Because the SX is now strictly an X-Line variant, it raises the ground clearance to 8.1 inches and adds a unique glossy design to the front and rear bumpers and wheel arches.

The 2027 Kia Seltos is hitting dealer lots now, while the hybrid model isn’t expected until the end of this year. Stay tuned for pricing.
