We love accountability, especially when a car company realizes they’ve pulled the plug on a vehicle too soon. Ram’s massive mea culpa, bringing back the 1500 TRX SRT, might be one of our favorites. Pricing starts at $102,790 including a $2,795 destination charge.
For the 2027 model year, Ram shuttles in the return of the Ford F-150 Raptor killer with the 777-horsepower, 680 lb-ft of torque monster TRX. Yes, that’s more horses than any gas-powered full-size truck on the market today.
But this baddie doesn’t stop at the 6.2-liter supercharged Hemi V8 when it comes to goodies.
Interior Amenities

The TRX’s luxury interior promises to pack as much punch as that power number with heated and ventilated leather seats, carbon fiber trim pieces, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system, and dual wireless charging pads.
Optional features include a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a bed-mounted tire carrier, off-road running boards, and beadlock-capable 18-inch wheels. The TRX can be customized with seven different exterior colors in addition to graphics packages.
Bloodshot Night Edition

The Bloodshot Night edition, which costs an additional $9,995, adds hand-painted graphics with a Flame Red stripe, in addition to a side splash graphic not for those wishing to travel incognito. Interior extras include unique TRX badging and carbon fiber trim bits with red anodized accents woven throughout.
TRX Hands-Free

After you’ve taken the TRX into the wild and jumped over valley and stream, on your way home the TRX can employ a Hands-Free Active Drive Assist, a Level 2 system. That means you can keep your hands off the wheel, but eyes must stay on the road. Is this where we make the T-Rex short-arm joke?
The 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT shows up at dealer lots later this summer.
