The 2027 Nissan Pathfinder celebrates its 40th anniversary with a Special Edition inspired by its original SUV roots, Nissan announced Monday. The Special Edition features retro styling, unique interior accents, and a starting price of $48,965, including the $1,575 destination fee.
The SV trim starts the 2027 Pathfinder lineup at $41,565, including the destination fee. Nissan discontinued the base S trim when it refreshed the 2026 Pathfinder.

2027 Nissan Pathfinder: What’s So Special
The Pathfinder Special Edition stands out with black and burgundy synthetic leather upholstery inspired by the original 1987 model. Red exterior accents and Pathfinder-engraved lettering on the liftgate add to its distinctive look. Other highlights include black 20-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic moonroof, captain’s chairs in the second row, rear sunshades, and a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system.
Unlike the original, the 2027 Pathfinder Special Edition has four doors, not two. It comes with a tow hitch and, like every Pathfinder, has a 284-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 with up to a 6,000-pound towing capacity.

2027 Nissan Pathfinder Changes
Aside from the Special Edition, the 2027 Nissan Pathfinder mostly remains the same, with a slight increase of destination fees of $120.
The base SV comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless device charger. All-wheel drive (AWD) adds $2,000 on the SV, SL, Special Edition, and Platinum models. It’s standard on the $46,665 Rock Creek.
Safety is another highlight worth noting when considering the Pathfinder’s capability. The 2026 Pathfinder earned a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS).
The 2027 Pathfinder arrives at dealerships in November.
