2027 Lexus TX Drops PHEV Option, Maintains Pricing

• Hybrid and gas powertrain options remain on sale in 2027
• Matador Red Mica paint returns as an option
• Price increases only $400 over prior year.

The Lexus TX 3-row midsize luxury SUV enters its fourth model year in 2027, having debuted in 2024. Changes for the new year are minimal, with the big story being the loss of the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) model. That leaves the TX with gas and hybrid powertrain options for 2027, starting at $58,890.

Without the PHEV, the TX is left with a turbocharged 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine as the base powertrain. It produces 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque in the TX 350 and pairs with an 8-speed automatic transmission and either front- or all-wheel drive (AWD).

The hybrid TX 500h F Sport Performance also comes with a 4-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors. That combination produces 366 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque, and sends it to all four wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The return of Matador Red Mica exterior paint is the only other change outside of the powertrain shuffle. All 2027 TX SUVs come standard with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 14-inch touchscreen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital key system, cloud-based navigation, and seven USB-C ports are also standard.

While the TX hasn’t yet earned an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick designation, Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 comes by default. The package offers adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane departure warnings, automatic high beams, and more. It also includes risk-avoidance emergency steering assist, which helps maneuver the vehicle during an emergency, and left-turn oncoming-vehicle detection.

Pricing didn’t change much for the new model year, with the 2027 TX showing only a $400 base price increase over the 2026 model. Full-line pricing is listed below, including destination charge.
