Automotive engineers tend to love a challenge. But we have to take our hats off to the crew Nissan asked to create the 2026 Nissan Armada NISMO.
Nissan this week announced pricing for the 2026 Armada, including the NISMO Edition. That is, a high-performance, track-ready edition of a 6,000-plus-pound, truck-based full-size SUV. Basically, a sumo wrestler lining up for an Olympic sprint.
The NISMO Armada will start at $81,720 after a $2,190 delivery fee.
It uses a retuned version of the same turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine found in the standard Armada, good for 460 horsepower (35 more than other versions). Tweaks to the steering and suspension offer “more engaging and direct handling,” Nissan says.
NISMO-exclusive front and rear fascia, a unique grille, side steps, and a roofline spoiler distinguish it visually. Like other NISMO models, it gets a thin red line all around, low on the bodywork. The Armada echoes it with red lining the grille.
Nissan will also again offer an off-road-oriented Armada PRO-4X in 2026, with underbody skid plates, an electronic locking differential, and adaptive air suspension.
Nissan’s biggest SUV is otherwise unchanged for 2026. It was all-new for the 2025 model year. The 2026 Nissan Armada is on sale now.
