Nissan has refreshed its Frontier midsize truck for the 2025 model year, giving buyers more choice in bed and cab configuration than most rival pickups.
The Chevrolet Colorado, GMC Canyon, and Ford Ranger now come only in a crew cab, short box configuration. Midsize truck buyers looking for anything else are limited to the Frontier and the Toyota Tacoma.
Of the two, the Frontier now carries a higher starting price. The 2025 Frontier will start at $33,560 (after a $1,510 destination fee). That’s more expensive than the current entry-level Tacoma ($32,995 delivered for 2024 model).
The 2025 Frontier also gets a higher tow rating (7,150 pounds, a 510-pound improvement), some new cabin tech, and a refreshed exterior for the new model year. Every trim level now comes with a telescoping steering wheel and a sliding rear window, along with safety and driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring.
Most also get a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen for infotainment, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, though the basic work truck S and slightly upgraded SV go without those.
2025 Frontier Pricing
All prices include a $1,510 destination fee.
King Cab is Nissan’s term for an extended cabin that seats four and has two full-size front doors and rear-hinged half doors. Crew Cab models get four doors and five seats.
