2024 Lexus LC Gets Price Bump but Loses Trackpad at Last

The 2024 Lexus LC in profileThe 2023 Lexus LC is one of the most beautiful cars on the road. Pure luxury sports coupes that exist for beauty’s sake have grown rare in 2023, but Lexus still builds one, and the world is better off for it.

It’s available with a 471-horsepower V8 or a 354-horsepower V6 with an integrated hybrid system, so you don’t even have to feel like you’re overindulging at the expense of V8-like emissions. It gives you legendary Lexus build quality, elegant surroundings, and near-supercar acceleration. There’s even a convertible model.

There’s just one problem. The beauty has an infotainment system right out of the 1990s.

It uses a 10.3-inch screen powered by a trackpad on the center console. Yes, a trackpad. In a year when other automakers are introducing dashboard-spanning touchscreens, Lexus is still selling a luxury car with a trackpad.

The interior of the 2024 Lexus LC

Toyota’s luxury division has finally come to its senses. A modest model refresh for 2024 sees the LC lose the laptop approach in favor of a 12.3-inch touchscreen. The LC also gains wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

A new interior color called Dark Rose arrives as well.
