- Lexus continues Inspiration Series with LC 500
- Coupe boasts exclusive colors
- 21-inch 2-tone wheels part of the package
- Limited run of 100 units
- Pricing to be announced later
Lexus is continuing its run of limited-edition models that sport different paint and color schemes by introducing the 2020 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series during Monterey Car Week. According to Lexus, “this new limited-production LC aims to evoke a more refined, mature coupe without giving up any of the modern performance, technology and style that makes it so desirable.”
The principal attraction here is the special exterior paint treatment in a color called Nori Green Pearl. It’s complemented by 2-tone 21-inch wheels and a similar 2-tone color approach to the cabin. Inside, the seats are upholstered in aniline leather in Saddle Tan, which is contrasted by a darker shade of Alcantara on the door panel inserts. Black Amber leather trim covers the steering wheel, dash, center console and doors, along with brown stitching to complete the look.
An appearance package only
There are no mechanical upgrades to the LC 500, which is equipped with a 471-horsepower 5.0-liter V8 engine, which is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift. Lexus says the powertrain is good for 0-60 mph acceleration of 4.4 seconds.
Class of 2020: The New and Redesigned Cars, Trucks and SUVs
Each model carries a numbered identification plate on the door sill. The 2020 Lexus LC 500 will go on sale later this year with pricing announced closer to its launch. The previous 2019 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series model, which was done up in a yellow exterior paint scheme, retailed for $106,210. Like that model, only 100 will be built.
