2018 Lexus LS Sedan Teased

Lexus confirmed the all-new fifth-generation flagship LS Sedan will make its world debut next month at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Toyota‘s luxury division said the new LS will be spun from a stretched version of its all-new GL-A (global architecture for luxury vehicles) platform that also underpins the new Lexus LC 500 Coupe. While no mention was made of potential powertrains, it seem likely the new LS will share both the rear-drive LC 500’s 468-horsepower V8 and the LC 500h’s 354-horse V6 hybrid and will benefit from the Coupes enhanced dynamics.

Although this teaser image offers a limited view of its styling, Lexus says the new LS Sedan will feature a more aggressive design and a coupe-like silhouette. In keeping with its station, the accommodating cabin of the 2018 LS also will offer “luxurious appointments and visionary technology” that will no doubt include things like premium leather and real wood trims, a Mark Levinson audio package and a comprehensive selection of safety features and driver assists.
