Offering more color-coordinated flash in a new value-oriented package, the 2017 McLaren 570S Design Edition will arrive in America early next year. Available in Onyx Black, Storm Grey, Ventura Orange and Silica White as well as the Vermillion Red Design Edition seen here, each has signature exterior color themes with bespoke “By McLaren” interior appointments.

In the case of Design Edition 1, the Vermillion Red exterior is matched with red brake calipers, diamond-cut finish 5-spoke alloy wheels and a Stealth exhaust system. Inside, this distinctive 570S boasts a Jet Black and Apex Red Nappa leather dash and seats trimmed in Carbon Black Alcantara and Apex Red Nappa leather set off with Slate Grey contrast stitching. A two-tone coordinated steering wheel and McLaren-branded leather door-sill finisher round out the mix.

Like the standard McLaren 570S, new Design Edition models will come with a 562-horse/3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 that sends power to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The new Design Edition option package will add $10,320 to the car’s $187,300 base price – a figure “significantly lower” than buying each of the individual elements. The Design Edition order books are now open and McLaren does note that buyers with a need for greater personalization also can add pretty much anything else currently available on the 570S option list.
