Officially unveiled earlier this year at the Chicago Auto Show, the refreshed and upgraded 2017 Chevrolet Trax will go on sale this fall with a starting price of $21,895 for a front-wheel-drive variant in baseline LS trim. That reflects a $700 bump over the 2016 model. The mid-range Trax LT is set to open at $23,795, with the new Trax Premier grade that replaces the previous LTZ designation commencing at $26,995. All three versions of this front-drive subcompact crossover SUV can be upgraded to all-wheel drive for an additional $1,500. Regardless of configuration, every 2017 Chevrolet Trax will be fitted with the same 138-horsepower 1.4-liter turbocharged Ecotec 4-cylinder engine used in 2016, backed by a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Complementing its even more sophisticated exterior, the 2017 Trax boasts a similarly updated cabin treatment with enhanced materials and a modern-looking dash design highlighted by more legible main instrumentation and the availability of a new 7.0-inch MyLink color touch screen infotainment system that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay apps. It also offers 4G LTE and a Wi-Fi hotspot that can support up to seven different personal devices. Depending on trim grade, 2017 Trax buyers also can opt to add an impressive selection of advanced driver-assist features including Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Forward Collision Alert, and Lane Departure Warning.
