Originally unveiled last year in Geneva and Frankfurt, the all-new 2016 Audi TT/TTS team arrives in showrooms here this July. The TT 2.0 TFSI Coupe is set to start at $42,925 with the TT 2.0-TFSI Roadster kicking off at $47,325. Each will be fitted with a 228-horsepower/2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that turns out 258 lb-ft of torque and is backed by a 6-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission. That motive force will be shipped to all four wheels via a specially tuned version of the firm’s Quattro all-wheel drive system. Audi says the TT coupe will sprint from 0-60 mph in 5.3 seconds while the roadster reaches that speed in 5.6 ticks.

Topping the range for now will be the 2016 Audi TTS 2.0 TFSI Coupe that commences at $52,825. Available here in just a single body style, the engine in the TTS is fortified with 10 additional horses and has 34 more lb-ft of torque — bumps that allow it to hit 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds. While all members of the lineup feature Audi Drive Select to permit individual tuning of the steering, throttle and transmission shifts, TTS kit adds the adjustable Magnetic Ride Suspension that can be toggled into dynamic, auto, comfort or individual modes. Beyond bolder exterior styling cues and more aggressively bolstered S-spec sport seats, the TTS also swaps the TT-level 18-inch wheel/tire package for a 19-inch upgrade and adds bigger front brakes.

Both the 2016 Audi TT and TTS models will offer a 12-speaker/680-watt Bang & Olufsen Surround Sound system upgrade as an option as well as a Technology Package (Audi MMI Navigation Plus, Audi Connect with online services, heated/auto-dimming/power-folding side mirrors, Parking System Plus with front/rear sensors, Audi Side Assist and a rearview camera). TT models also can be ordered with an Audi Design Selection Package that brings S Sport seats in diamond-tufted Murillo Brown Fine Nappa leather with Steel Gray contrast stitching, a Stone Gray Extended Leather package, Slate Gray interior elements and Aluminum Drift inlays in anthracite.
Limited-run TT Launch Edition
Buyers seeking a bit more exclusivity can opt for the 2016 Audi Launch Edition TTS. Finished in Mythos Black and limited to just 75 units, it features an Express Red Fine Nappa leather interior with an Extended Leather trim package and Piano Black accents as well as exclusive 19-inch forged-alloy wheels with a five-arm "facet" design. Pricing for the 2016 Audi Launch Edition TTS Coupe as well as for the options and packages on all TT/TTS models will be released closer to the on-sale date.
