The 2015 Subaru Impreza returns to the Japanese automaker’s lineup with a new look and equipment, including a standard rear vision camera and optional EyeSight Driver Assist package. The 4-door sedan and 5-door hatchback Imprezas are powered by a 148-horsepower 4-cylinder boxer engine and features all-wheel drive as standard equipment. A 5-speed manual is standard on the 2.0i base and Sport Premium models, a CVT automatic transmission is standard on the uplevel Premium and Limited Trims.

The exterior of the 2015 Subaru Impreza features new front fascia that includes redesigned headlamps, grille and bumper. Other tweaks include a quicker ratio for improved steering response, a quieter ride thanks to more sound deadening material and thicker side glass and new standard features like cruise control on base models.

EyeSight Driver Assist offered for the first time

The revamped Impreza will also be available with EyeSight Driver Assist, an optional suite of features that includes adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, lane departure warning and steering responsive fog lights that help illuminate turns.

In addition, Subaru will offer a new 6.2 infotainment system on base 2.0i and 2.0i Premium trim levels that includes a 6.2-inch touch display with rear vision camera, swipe and scroll multi-function control for audio and other features. Impreza 2.0i Limited and Sport Limited will also have a new mid-range infotainment system that incorporates a larger 7-inch screen, SiriusXM Satellite radio, voice activated controls, dual USB ports and six speakers.

Fuel economy boosted

Subaru is also reporting increased fuel economy on the 2015 Impreza. The manual transmission-equipped model is rated at 25 mpg city/34 mpg highway for 28 mpg combined, while the CVT is rated at 27 mpg city/36 mpg highway for 31 mpg combined, numbers that, according to Subaru, makes the Impreza the most fuel-efficient all-wheel drive passenger car in America.

Pricing for the 2015 Subaru Impreza will be released closer to the new model’s on sale date later in the year.
