Although details are few at this point, we do know that the 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid will make its world debut at the 203 New York Auto Show. Spun from the Impreza-based 5-passenger compact crossover that joined the automaker’s lineup for 2013, this even-more efficient variation is Subaru‘s first-ever hybrid model. While output figures and EPA numbers are still under wraps, motivation for the XV Crosstrek Hybrid comes from a Subaru-engineered hybrid package. Like its conventional sibling, it also features Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive.
In addition to the 2014 XV Crosstrek Hybrid, Subaru also confirmed that it will unveil a new "Performance Concept" vehicle in New York. We’ll just have to wait to see whether it turns out to be a precursor of the next-generation WRX/WRX STI, a BRZ STI or something even more ambitious.
