Intent on ending speculation that it was planning to reveal a drop-top version of the Scion FR-S in New York, Toyota has confirmed the vehicle that will be making its debut there is the 2014 Scion tC coupe. Completely redesigned for 2011, the 2014 tC is expected to be a focused evolution of the current car, although the automaker revealed no additional facts about the changes ahead. Based on the lone overhead teaser image Scion released, the 2014 tC appears to have blackout A-pillars and a new rear spoiler. As for speculation on other likely changes, we wouldn’t be surprised if this measured makeover also brings a host of other visual variations on the theme that could well include revamped lighting elements, new exterior colors/wheel designs, revised interior trim and possibly even powertrain and/or suspension enhancements.
