Earlier this month, Ford confirmed plans to add a new range-topping model to its best-selling F-150 pickup line. Now, the automaker has released the first images and information on that vehicle: the 2013 Ford F-150 Limited. While full specs have yet to be detailed, it has confirmed the Limited will feature standard equipment levels that position it beyond even the current Platinum and Harley Davidson editions. Ford says it’s confident there’s still room at the top for a super-premium F-150 variant as over 30 percent of current F-150 sales come from top-end models in the $35,000-$50,000 range.
Available only in the four-door SuperCrew configuration, the exterior of the new Limited is differentiated by a number of cosmetic and functional touches highlighted by a monochromatic paint scheme in Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Tuxedo Black Metallic and White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat. Also in the mix are segment-first HID xenon headlamps, a unique three-bar grille, 22-inch polished aluminum wheels and a healthy helping of supplemental brightwork accents set off by and "Limited" badging.
Inside, the 2013 Ford F-150 Limited features rich red and black leather throughout with aluminum and piano black trim bits. Other key comfort/convenience highlights include heated/cooled power front buckets that have two-position memory, heated four-way second-row seats, ambient lighting, a power moonroof, power sliding rear window and a rearview camera. On the connectivity front, the 2013 F-150 Limited comes with MyFord Touch that has an 8.0-inch touchscreen as well as the truck-optimized control set, a unique gauge cluster design with a 4.2-inch driver-programmable productivity screen, a premium Sony Audio System, voice activated navigation, a media hub with USB ports, an SD-card reader and RCA video input jacks.
Available in rear or 4-wheel drive, all Ford F-150 Limited models will be fitted with the 365-horespower/3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that delivers a best-in-class 420 lb-ft of torque and is backed by a six-speed automatic transmission. A sport-tuned suspension also will be standard.

Pricing for the 2013 Ford F-150 Limited will be released closer to its on-sale date this fall.
