With sleek styling, advanced technology, and respectable range, the Cadillac Lyriq is both a great luxury vehicle and a great EV. Pricing starts at $60,695.
America’s favorite luxury vehicles are midsize 2-row SUVs, and the Cadillac Lyriq electrifies this popular configuration in a vehicle that’s both practical and luxurious. In addition to charting a new design course for Cadillac, the Lyriq is compelling due to its unique interior design, spacious and comfortable cabin, and advanced tech features, including the standard Super Cruise hands-free highway driving system. A good luxury EV gets better with the new for 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V (reviewed separately), the first-ever EV to get the high-performance V-Series treatment. Add in its reasonable pricing and respectable range and efficiency numbers, and the Cadillac Lyriq makes a strong case for a luxury EV that’s also a strong value.
We’ve logged hundreds of hours driving and evaluating this generation of electric luxury SUVs, including the Cadillac Lyriq.
Other than the addition of the V-Series, the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq now comes standard with GM’s Super Cruise hands-free highway driving system. It also has a slightly different trim naming structure, which forgoes numbers in favor of words.
The 2026 Cadillac LYRIQ has a starting sticker price of $60,695, with the range-topping LYRIQ Signature Sport kicking off at $69,795. But Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Pricing currently suggests paying $2,095 to $3,995 less than MSRP, depending on trim and equipment. These prices are updated weekly.

The Cadillac Lyriq’s pricing is competitive for a midsize electric luxury SUV. A few of its pricier rivals were recently discontinued, such as the Audi Q8 e-tron, Acura ZDX, and Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV; however, the Lyriq remains a more affordable alternative to the BMW iX and Genesis Electrified GV70.
Before buying a Lyriq, check the Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price to know what you should really pay. Cadillac Lyriq resale value is above average for the segment. Recouping more money when selling a vehicle can mean a bigger down payment and lower monthly payments on the next one.
The non-V-Series Cadillac Lyriq has two powertrain options: a single-motor, rear-wheel drive (RWD) setup with 365 horsepower and a dual-motor, all-wheel drive (AWD) configuration with 515 horsepower. Neither ever feels lacking in power, and the extra muscle of the dual-motor setup is noticeable. Since all of the above have a range estimate of over 300 miles, the dual-motor is easy to recommend if your budget allows it.
Electric propulsion is inherently luxurious thanks to its quiet, effortless thrust, and the Lyriq takes full advantage. Smooth, brisk acceleration is always on tap, and the Lyriq’s ride is comfortable and confident.
The Lyriq is the latest Cadillac model to get standard Super Cruise on every trim. Super Cruise is simply one of the best hands-free highway driving systems we’ve tested, if not the best. It operates on over 750,000 miles of North American roads, doing so seamlessly with natural, comfortable, and predictable behavior. Once you’ve gotten used to driving with Super Cruise, you may not want to go back. It’s that good.
The single-motor Lyriq has an EPA-estimated 326-mile range, and the dual-motor model can go either 303 miles or 319 miles, depending on which onboard charging module you go with. As for charging time, Cadillac estimates that it can charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 37 minutes with DC fast charging. With Level 2 charging at home, it can reclaim 31 miles worth of range per hour with the 11.5 kW onboard charger or 50 miles of range per hour with the 19.2 kW charger. GM offers a wide range of home charging equipment to suit your needs.
We’re mostly impressed with the interior quality of the Cadillac Lyriq. The seat comfort and material quality are on par for a luxury SUV in this price range. Moving up the model range unlocks premium features like massaging front seats, heated rear seats, AKG 23-speaker audio, and an augmented reality head-up display. Although the Lyriq can get pricey when adding options, the interior quality and tech always feel about right for the price on the window sticker, which we can’t always say about the Lyriq’s European rivals.
We say we’re “mostly” impressed because there are a couple of little things that feel low-rent for such an otherwise luxurious vehicle. One of our pet peeves is the knob on the center console that proudly displays the Cadillac crest, but feels cheaper than it looks when you actually use it. Luckily, the Lyriq has a user-friendly touchscreen, so you never actually need to use that pretty knob.
With 39.6 inches of rear legroom, the back of the Cadillac Lyriq is comfortable for kids and adults alike. It even has a pretty usable middle seat, although it’s best reserved for small passengers. Cargo volume is respectable with 28 cubic feet of room behind the back seats, but the BMW iX has more cargo space with 35.5 cubic feet.
Cadillac introduced a new design language with the Lyriq’s release in 2023. It still looks futuristic today, and has influenced the designs for a whole wave of EVs from Cadillac. As its name implies, the Sport models have a more aggressive look with a different front “grille” design, more black trim, and different wheel designs.
Super Cruise
GM’s outstanding Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system comes standard on every trim of the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq. It’s one of our favorite hands-free driving systems and works on over 750,000 miles of North American highways.
33-inch display
Cadillac’s 33-inch LED display with 9K resolution serves as both a digital gauge cluster and central infotainment screen. They work together well to create an experience that’s high-tech, but not intimidating.
AKG 23-speaker audio
Most trims of the Cadillac Lyriq come with a 23-speaker AKG Studio audio system with available Dolby Atmos technology. This rich sound system includes speakers in the front headrests, creating an immersive audio experience.
Augmented reality HUD
The trims with “Signature” in their names come with an augmented reality head-up display. This feature projects graphics on the windshield that appear to be on the road ahead, providing a high-tech way to help you keep your eyes on the road.
Tesla Supercharger access
The Cadillac Lyriq is one of a growing number of non-Tesla EVs that have access to the Tesla Supercharger network. This significantly increases the number of chargers accessible to the Lyriq, making it more road-trip ready and reducing range anxiety.
The Cadillac Lyriq employs a 102-kWh battery pack capable of a range of 303 to 326 miles, depending on the configuration. Its maximum charging speed is 190 kW. Its EPA-estimated combined efficiency rating is between 85 and 92 MPGe, with negligible differences in estimated fuel costs. That means a single-motor or dual-motor Lyriq will have about the same impact on your electric bill.
4-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty
The Cadillac Lyriq is backed by a 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty and a 6-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty. That powertrain warranty is among the best from a luxury brand. Additionally, you get an 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty and complimentary maintenance on your first visit.
Safety
The Cadillac Lyriq scores 5-Star top marks in crash testing by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). It gets the top “Good” rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in every Crashworthiness criterion, but a “Poor” headlight rating holds it back from earning a Top Safety Pick nod. Standard safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist with departure warning, a surround-view camera system, cyclist and pedestrian alert, automatic parking assist, and much more.
