The 2025 Cadillac Lyriq is a well-rounded luxury electric SUV with plenty of range, lots of standard and available equipment, and reasonable pricing. Pricing starts at $60,090.
Plenty of range, abundant power, relatively quick charging, and an affordable starting price — the Lyriq seemingly has it all — on paper. In reality, it’s also a smooth-riding, responsive SUV with good manners around town and on the highway. The cabin itself is stylish, roomy, and packed with features.
Even faced off against world-class electric luxury SUVs like the Audi Q8 e-tron, BMW iX, and Mercedes-Benz EQE, the Lyriq stands out as a genuine value.
We’ve logged hundreds of hours driving and evaluating this generation of electric luxury SUVs, including the Cadillac Lyriq.
The Lyriq was brand-new for 2023 and saw trim-level updates and new appearance options added the following year. For 2025, the Lyriq gets even more style choices, including new accent color packages with 22-inch wheels available in bronze, red, and blue. Additional features are now standard on Luxury and Sport trims, including the rear camera mirror, illuminated sill plates, and hands-free liftgate. Ambient lighting is also increased to 126 color options.
In an unannounced change, the 2025 Lyriq is now rated at 365 horsepower in single-motor form and 515 hp with dual motors. Last year’s Lyriq models were rated at 340 hp and 500 hp, respectively.
The 2025 Cadillac LYRIQ has a starting sticker price of $60,090, with the range-topping LYRIQ Sport 3 kicking off at $68,990. But Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Pricing currently suggests paying $2,614 to $3,767 less than MSRP, depending on trim and equipment. These prices are updated weekly.

If sales volume is a guide, the Luxury and Sport trims are neck and neck for the title of most popular. Of course, both have subsets of trims.
The bottom of the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq’s price range puts it in very approachable territory for a luxury electric SUV with over 300 miles of range. Compared to equivalent models of the BMW iX, Audi Q8 e-tron, and Mercedes-Benz EQE, the Lyriq is at least $10,000 less and as much as $20,000 less. That’s a significant savings, especially considering the Lyriq also gets as much or more range, is more efficient, and has about 100 hp more than the Audi or the Mercedes.
At the top of the Lyriq’s range, the 515-hp all-wheel-drive (AWD) dual-motor is available in the mid-$70,000s — or right around the starting price of the entry-level models from the competition.
The entry point to the Lyriq range might “only” have rear-wheel drive (RWD) and a single motor, but it has 340 hp and a sub-6-second zero-to-60 mph time. It’s effortlessly quick enough for any real-world driving. If you prefer even more pep, the dual-motor version’s 515-hp output and all-wheel drive deliver a sub-5-second zero-to-60.
Electric propulsion is inherently luxurious thanks to its quiet, effortless thrust, and the Lyriq takes full advantage. Smooth, brisk acceleration is always on tap, and the Lyriq’s ride is comfortable and confident.
The available Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system is one of the best we’ve tested, if not the best. It works on over 400,000 miles of North American roads and does so seamlessly, with natural, comfortable, and predictable behavior. Once you’ve gotten used to driving with Super Cruise, you may not want to go back. It’s that good.
High-tech and modern, with a 33-inch display spanning the driver’s panel and the center console, the Lyriq’s interior is also comfortable and spacious. A fixed-glass roof is standard across the line, and a panoramic power sunroof is available — both add light and openness to the cabin.
Front and rear seats are generous, with 39.6 inches of rear legroom. That’s a bit more than the BMW iX’s 38.9 inches and just about the same as the Mercedes-Benz EQE (40.6 inches) and Audi Q8 e-tron (40.2 inches).
In the cargo area, the Lyriq has 28 cubic feet behind the rear seat or 60.8 cubic feet with the rear seats folded. The EQE, for comparison, offers 14 and 55 cubic feet, respectively, and the Q8 e-tron has 30.5/60.7 cubic feet. The BMW iX offers somewhat more cargo space at 35.5/77.9 cubic feet.
Unlike some electric vehicles, the Lyriq doesn’t have a front trunk or “frunk.”
The Lyriq’s sleek design and high style are refined and futuristic. The light signatures at both ends are unlike anything else. The Lyriq looks elegant even in base trim, but it’s especially appealing in Sport form with its darker accents and enhanced grille.
The Lyriq is about the same size as other midsize luxury electric SUVs, including the Audi Q8 e-tron, BMW iX, and Mercedes-Benz EQE.
Super Cruise
Sitting back and letting the car drive might seem a bit unnerving at first, but the Super Cruise hands-free driving system is one of the most advanced and capable semi-autonomous driving aids available. It works on more than 400,000 miles of roads in North America. Our testing has found it possible to travel hundreds of miles with only a few miles at either end requiring hands on the wheel.
Up to 326 miles of range
With 12 miles more range than last year, the Lyriq has improved its already strong position in the midsize luxury SUV segment. Opting for the 515-hp, dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant doesn’t even cost that much in terms of range — it still gets 319 miles.
Cadillac Smart System
This standard safety tech suite bundles automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, rear park assist, Teen Driver mode, a safety alert seat, and more. Blind-zone steering assist also comes standard.
33-inch LED display
This vast display can emit more than a billion colors, has built-in wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and even has a 5G Wi-Fi hot spot. If you love audio as much as graphics, consider opting for the 19-speaker AKG Studio audio system.
Nappa Leather Package
Nappa leather’s plush feel and premium look add another layer of polish to the Lyriq’s already excellent cabin, covering the seats and armrests. Also included: Dark Ash open-pore wood trim and illuminated front sill plates.
Sport trim
Subtle yet impactful, the Sport trim takes the Lyriq into more daring territory with Obsidian Chrome, dark accent finishes, body-color door handles, and a unique illuminated grille.
The 2025 Lyriq is available in single-motor and dual-motor forms. The single-motor configuration powers the rear wheels, while the dual motor is used in all-wheel-drive models. Maximum range comes with the single-motor, rear-wheel-drive configuration.
The single-motor setup has 365 hp and an estimated 326 miles of range. The dual-motor, all-wheel-drive variant gets 515 hp and an estimated 319 miles of range, or 303 miles of range, when equipped with the optional onboard 19.2-kilowatt (kW) charger. An 11.5-kW onboard charger is standard on both variants. With DC fast charging, the Lyriq can regain up to 86 miles of range in 10 minutes.
4-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty
The Cadillac Lyriq is backed by a 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty and a 6-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty. That powertrain warranty is among the best from a luxury brand. Additionally, you get an 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty and complimentary maintenance on your first visit.
Safety
The 2025 Cadillac Lyriq SUV scores 5-Star top marks in crash testing by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Standard safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist with departure warning, a surround-view camera system, cyclist and pedestrian alert, automatic parking assist, and much more.
The 2025 Cadillac LYRIQ is in the top 11-25% for Cost to Own among all Luxury Mid-size SUV/Crossovers.

Cadillac Smart System

Blind Zone Steering Assist
In addition to blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and automatic braking in reverse, this feature adds the element of active steering to help prevent a collision or reduce its severity.
Rear camera mirror
Instead of a conventional rearview mirror, this item uses a rear-facing wide-angle camera to create a view that’s unobstructed by cargo, passengers’ heads, or rear pillars.
