The Cadillac Lyriq-V unlocks the performance potential of the Lyriq with 615 horsepower, hitting a 0-60 mph sprint in 3.3 seconds.
We’ve liked the Cadillac Lyriq since its release in 2023, but it was missing something — until now. That something was a proper V-Series model unlocking the performance potential of this excellent EV platform. Enter the Cadillac Lyriq-V, which makes its first appearance as a 2026 model. It has 615 horsepower and a 3.3-second zero-to-60 mph time, making it the quickest-accelerating Cadillac in the brand’s century-long history. It achieves this stunning performance while retaining the luxurious comfort and advanced technology that we love about the standard Lyriq, which we review separately.
We’ve logged hundreds of hours driving and evaluating this generation of electric luxury SUVs, including the Cadillac Lyriq-V.
The Cadillac Lyriq-V is a new addition to the Lyriq lineup for the 2026 model year.
The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V starts at $80,390. The fancier V-Series Premium begins at $85,590.
| V-Series | $80,390 |
| V-Series Premium | $85,590 |
The closest rivals to the Cadillac Lyriq-V are the BMW iX and Tesla Model X. Even the loaded V-Series Premium trim has a lower price tag than the starting prices of the iX and Model X. The performance of the Lyriq-V is comparable to the iX M70, which starts at over $112,000.
Before buying a Lyriq-V, check the Kelley Blue Book Fair Purchase Price to know what you should really pay. Cadillac Lyriq resale value is above average for the segment, and we expect the same to be the case with the new V-Series model. Recouping more money when selling a vehicle can mean a bigger down payment and lower monthly payments on the next one.
V-Series Cadillac models tend to have a Jekyll and Hyde character to them. Keep them in Tour mode, and you can go about your daily commute and errand-running without any fuss. Change it over to Sport or V mode, and you’re quickly reminded that you’re driving a world-class performance vehicle. This is exactly the case with the Lyriq-V. When driven mildly, it has the same agreeable tameness as the non-V Lyriq. However, when we engage Velocity Max mode to unlock the 3.3-second 0-60 time, it feels like sitting inside of a very comfortable cannonball.
We’ve come to expect luxury EVs to be fast, and while the milder Lyriq doesn’t disappoint with its performance, the enthusiast in us prefers the V. It unlocks everything the Cadillac Lyriq can and should be.
Another thing we love about driving the Lyriq-V is using Super Cruise, a feature that now comes standard across the whole Cadillac Lyriq lineup. GM’s hands-free highway driving system covers over 750,000 miles of North American highways, and it’s one of the most natural-feeling systems of its kind. With the Lyriq-V, highway driving is a breeze, and spirited driving is a riot.
The V-Series is the only Cadillac Lyriq that gets less than 300 miles of range, maxing out at 285 miles on a full charge. As for charging time, Cadillac estimates that it can charge from 10 to 80 percent in about 37 minutes with DC Fast Charging. With Level 2 charging at home, it can reclaim 31 miles worth of range per hour with the 11.5 kW onboard charger or 50 miles of range per hour with the 19.2 kW charger. GM offers a wide range of home charging equipment to suit your needs.
We’re mostly impressed with the interior quality of the Cadillac Lyriq-V. A few features that come standard with every Lyriq-V include an augmented reality head-up display, an AKG Studio 23-speaker audio system, a 33-inch LED display, massaging front seats, and heated rear seats. Although the Lyriq-V can get pricey when adding options, the interior quality and tech always feel about right for the price on the window sticker, which we can’t always say about the Lyriq-V’s European rivals.
We say we’re “mostly” impressed because there are a couple of little things that feel low-rent for such an otherwise luxurious vehicle. One of our pet peeves is the knob on the center console that proudly displays the Cadillac crest, but feels cheaper than it looks when you actually use it. Luckily, the Lyriq-V has a user-friendly touchscreen, so you never actually need to use that pretty knob.
With 39.6 inches of rear legroom, the back of the Cadillac Lyriq-V is comfortable for kids and adults alike. It even has a pretty usable middle seat, although it’s best reserved for small passengers. Cargo volume is respectable with 28 cubic feet of room behind the back seats, but the BMW iX has more cargo space with 35.5 cubic feet.
The Cadillac Lyriq-V enhances the stylish Lyriq’s appearance with upgrades such as 22-inch wheels, a lowered stance, and a distinctive front fascia. Smaller details like “V” badges and Brembo brake calipers further indicate this EV’s sporting intentions.
615 horsepower
The Cadillac Lyriq-V is a veritable performance EV, boasting 615 horsepower, 650 lb-ft of torque, and a 3.3-second zero-to-60 mph sprint. It’s the quickest Cadillac of all time, and it feels like it.
V-Series Premium
For drivers who demand the pinnacle of both performance and luxury, the Lyriq V-Series Premium piles on the luxury with premium features like Nappa leather upholstery with exclusive interior colors, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, open-pore wood interior trim, and a standard 19.2 kW charging module.
Super Cruise
GM’s outstanding Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system comes standard on every trim of the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq. It’s one of our favorite hands-free driving systems and works on over 750,000 miles of North American highways.
33-inch display
Cadillac’s 33-inch LED display with 9K resolution serves as both a digital gauge cluster and central infotainment screen. They work together well to create an experience that’s high-tech, but not intimidating.
Tesla Supercharger access
The Cadillac Lyriq is one of a growing number of non-Tesla EVs that have access to the Tesla Supercharger network. This significantly increases the number of chargers accessible to the Lyriq, making it more road-trip ready and reducing range anxiety.
The Cadillac Lyriq-V employs a 102 kWh battery pack capable of 285 miles of range. Its maximum charging speed is 190 kW. Its EPA-estimated combined efficiency rating is 80 MPGe (the same as the BMW iX M70), making its fuel costs a little higher than those of the non-V Lyriq models, but on par with similar high-performance luxury EVs.
4-Year/50,000-Mile Warranty
The Cadillac Lyriq-V is backed by a 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty and a 6-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty. That powertrain warranty is among the best from a luxury brand. Additionally, you get an 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty and complimentary maintenance on your first visit.
Safety
The Cadillac Lyriq scores 5-Star top marks in crash testing by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). It gets the top “Good” rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in every Crashworthiness criterion, but a “Poor” headlight rating holds it back from earning a Top Safety Pick nod. Standard safety equipment includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist with departure warning, a surround-view camera system, cyclist and pedestrian alert, automatic parking assist, and much more.
