Cadillac ATS-V

Cadillac ATS-V

About Cadillac ATS-V

The 2017 Cadillac ATS luxury-performance series has not only proven itself worthy of world-class status, it actually has some German rivals running to play catch-up. In its more subtle clothing, the compact ATS performance sedan and coupe offer sophisticated luxury and outstanding performance credentials easily the equal of cars like the BMW 3 Series and Audi A4. The gloves come off with the 464-horsepower 2017 Cadillac ATS-V, a track-inspired terror that chases down BMW M and Mercedes-Benz AMG cars without breaking a sweat. Of course, there is a price for perfection, and the 2017 ATS and ATS-V tend to cost more than their nearest competitors from Lincoln and Chrysler, but oh to be the standard of the world once again sure feels great.

Pros: "Walks softly but carries a big stick!"

Cons: "Unknown quality/reliability and CUE"

"I test drove the sedan model a couple of weeks ago and came away impressed and wanting one. The looks maybe polarizing, but I find this car is really attractive. I appreciate the bold lines and truly aggressive American design. To me the car impresses more in person than pictures. The interior is small but very comfortable. Although it is a true sport sedan the ride is compliant and well mannered in touring mode. Track mode is where this beast hides it true prowess. The power and mechanical grip is almost frightening . She is an amazing piece of machinery that Cadillac has come up with. I am waiting a couple of years to see if they go with a full electronic display like the CTS V and real buttons for CUE."

Ready for ignition!

"Get in, be quiet, and hold on!!! This is Vehicle nirvana! From the first moment the V six fires, and the exhaust cackles you know this is gonna be fun. The Recaro seats are set, the wheel adjusted, mode set to Track, mash the go button and you are propelled instantly forward! My 97 Viper GTS has 450hp and 490 lbs of torque and this car has the same exhilarating acceleration dynamics. The eight speed transmission shifts crisply. Nice accurate feed back from the steering wheel. The interior is well appointed, cut and sew I think Cadillac calls it. Ergonomics are very good, everything is where it needs to be to enhance the driving experience. I especially like the the head light dance when the vehicle is started. CUE is the only low note in an other wise well directed symphony of Engineering excellence. I really have no adjectives that fully express my thoughts and experience with this car except, "AWESOME"! Cadillac really did a fine job engineering this World Class Sports Sedan/Coupe!"
