The Scandinavian approach to design and the high-quality materials used on the interior adds an aura that sets this model apart from others in the segment. It’s easy to wheel about town thanks to its tidy exterior, but put passengers in the back seat or cargo in through the hatch, and you’ll find near compact SUV utility. All told, the 2021 Volvo XC40 has a lot going for it, and its win in the Subcompact Luxury SUV category for best resale value is just more icing on the cake.
