Expected to bow a redesigned pickup next year, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV’s Ram brand first has another special edition up its sleeve: the 2018 Ram 1500 Hydro Blue Sport. This eye-catching truck decked out in hydro blue pearl coat paint debuted at the San Antonio Auto & Truck Show in Texas, tops for pickup truck sales. The special edition goes on sale this month.
The new Ram Sport limited edition–Ram’s third of the year–comes as automakers aim to keep their offerings new and appealing to buyers in a highly loyal yet competitive segment. Ram is expected to show its all-new, full-size pickup in January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
“The custom look and high-impact colors have been well received in the marketplace and this new Ram 1500 Hydro Blue Sport will surely stand out on dealers’ lots and in customers’ driveways,” Mike Manley, head of Jeep & Ram brands for Fiat Chrysler, said in a statement. “Enthusiasts demand that their trucks get noticed and our Ram 1500 Sport lineup delivers a durable, powerful alternative with great visual appeal.”
