Pontiac
That might be hard to believe after seeing Pontiac cars like the G3 and G5, both slightly veiled copies of efficient little runners sold by Chevrolet (the Aveo and Cobalt, respectively). But dive deeper into the lineup and you'll get a better glimpse of the brand's sporting intentions, despite the absence of models like the Pontiac GTO. The Pontiac G6, for example, is available in three different body styles and can be had in aggressive GXP guise, while the Pontiac G8 delivers genuine fun with its rear-wheel-drive design and available V8 engines. Even rides like the Pontiac Torrent and Pontiac Vibe are offered with performance-oriented trims, and the Pontiac Solstice, which looks quick and agile from every angle, dials things up with an optional turbocharged engine.
Prices range from $15,000 for the Pontiac G3 to about $40,000 for the Pontiac G8 GXP.
