2016 Kia Sedona

Just off a complete revamp, the Kia Sedona returns for 2016 with a rearview camera as standard on all trims. Mid-trim EX models now come with heated front seats, while top-trim SX and SXL models with the Technology package can be had with seating for eight.

2015 Kia Sedona

All-new truly applies to the 2015 Kia Sedona, which shares almost nothing with the previous edition: Its chassis has been redesigned and strengthened, and its wheelbase and overall length have been stretched. The minivan's interior and exterior have been restyled, and a more powerful 3.3-liter V6 engine replaces the previous 3.5-liter.

About Kia Sedona

When the latest-gen Kia Sedona arrived last year, it marked a fresh start for the automaker's family hauler. What was formerly a simple minivan known more for its value than style has been reborn with both. Now coined as a "multipurpose vehicle" rather than a traditional minivan, the 2016 Kia Sedona is available in several trims that fit a range of budgets. Whether bought as a value-oriented 8-passenger family shuttle or in 7-passenger premium form decked out in wood, leather and the latest technology, the Sedona is now a serious rival to established minivans such as the Honda Odyssey, Toyota Sienna and Chrysler Town & Country.

Pros: "Awesome exterior & interior design. Great warranty"

Cons: "None so far."

"All of the reviews before mine don't even apply to the 2015 Kia Sedona. They are all for the earlier models which I agree were ugly looking and performed poorly. This 2015 model is easily the best looking among all of the current minivans. It also has features that the other vans don't even offer...such as the first class 2nd row captain's chairs that have leg rests. There is also no better warranty out there."

"First time I assumed I had left a light on or door open. Could not leave car sit for 4 days or it would not start. Dealer "fixed" computer problem?? Still failed to start when left 4 days. Dealer replaced battery. Would not start after 17 days in airport parking lot. Any ideas?? Evidently KIA has a electrical leakage that they haven't been able to find or fix. Corporate person was surprised that I didn't start car every day???"

Pros: "Great Mileage, Great handling, rides nice, quiet"

Cons: "Passenger seat uncomfortable when leaned back."

"I get very good mileage now. Up to 15,000 miles it was about 17 mpg, now it is 21 and climbing more and more as it breaks in. I got 26.6 on one trip. Back seats and front passenger seat is uncomfortable if you lean back in them As long as they sit up they are fine. Storage seats work great. I liked my Chrysler town and country LTD much better but for 16,000 less this car works out just fine!!"
