After the introduction of a turbocharged model and the sharp-looking RE:FLEX model, the Veloster carries over with only a handful of changes. Automatic climate control is now part of the Technology package, and the Style package adds 18-inch wheels.

A new Turbo R-Spec trim is added. The R-Spec brings unique visual elements, a B&M short-throw shifter, red leatherette bolstered cloth seating, enhanced suspension and steering tuning, and the lowest price point in the Turbo lineup. New features for the Veloster Turbo include torque vectoring and Active Sound Design in-cabin sound enhancement, while automatic climate control is added to the options list. The base Veloster gains a rearview camera, a driver's blind-spot mirror and daytime running lights.

2013 Hyundai Veloster

2013 marks the introduction of the Hyundai Veloster Turbo, a more powerful version of the Veloster, which remains in naturally-aspirated form. In addition to the souped-up engine, the Veloster Turbo features unique front and rear styling, bigger wheels and more standard features, including leather seats. Hyundai's first use of a matte gray paint will also see its debut on the Veloster Turbo.

About Hyundai Veloster

The 2016 Veloster from Hyundai delivers coupe-like styling in a vehicle nearly as practical as a 5-door wagon. Like any good coupe, the Veloster features a long driver's-side door. But move to the passenger side and Veloster parts ways with its coupe brethren, fitted with two smaller doors that allow rear-seat passengers to get in and out more easily. Hyundai's brilliant design team has integrated this 3-door design into the car's sleek styling so unless you look close, you'd be none the wiser. The Veloster's sporty good looks are backed by an available turbocharged engine and a number of enthusiast-oriented trims, including a new Rally Edition aimed squarely at undercutting the Volkswagen GTI, Honda Civic Si and Ford Focus ST.

Pros: "Price, Looks Great, Sound System, Tech Gadgets"

Cons: "No express down for passenger,"

Likely to recommend this car? (1-10): 10

"I love this little car. I traded my 2011 Genesis coupe for a 2012 Veloster. Quality issues plagued the Genesis but the Veloster seems to be solid and better built. It is fun to drive and is fully loaded. If you can afford it take both packages, style and tech. You will have everything available including the beautiful wheels that have body colored painted inserts. Although it is not as fast as the Genesis was, it does fine under all driving situations. I chose a manual transmission because with engines this small, it gives me the option of fuel economy or acceleration. 6 speed tranny shifts smooth and reverse has a back up camera the displays on the GPS. The Sound System is great and works seamlessly with an iPod. Just a couple of very small things that I would have liked on this car. It does not have a passenger express up and down window. I would have liked turn signals on the mirror and a LED light for the alarm. If you do not like strangers walking up to you at gas stations, grocery stores, etc, this is not your car. Mine is blue with style and tech packages and I cannot get out or in this car in public places without someone asking me about it. Great Job Hyundai."
