"I am currently driving my second Dodge Stratus R/T coupe. The two door model is built by Mitsubishi, not Dodge however, it carries the Dodge brand name because of a partnership with Mistubishi. These cars are the BOMB! Excellent reliability, performance and looks great. Other than a few styling challenges, the cup holder is too close to the gearshift and makes it difficult to shift when a cup is in place and a leather dashboard which warps over time. I have the R/T model and with proper maintainence, I have had ZERO issues. I bougfht my second one after an unfortunate accident which totaled my first one. Get the 5 speed, the auto is somewhat weak. The car has very good highway mileage (28 mpg) and with proper tires, does well in the snow. I love this car. Stay away from the 4 door models as they were produced by Chrysler and are literally plagued with electrical and mechanical challenges, this includes the 2 door convertible models also built by Chrysler. This car will last for a very long time if you take care of it. I would also recommend that you know a mechanic or can perform maintainence yourself as the tune up alone can cost in excess of $600.00 from the dealer. You can do it yourself for under $100.00 if you have some intermediate mechanical knowledge. I hope this helps you,"

"The 2003 Dodge Stratus SXT 4D has offered everything I could ask for in a pre-owned car. In the past I have had bad experiences with used cars...meaning that once the car hit 80-90,000 miles the thing fell apart completely. In the past 4 years that I've owned this car I have only had two things outside of general maintainence (tires, fluids, etc.) that has needed repair. The first being a hose to the air conditioning and the second a pan that had been scraped from "bottoming-out" of a drive-way. Perhaps it's just that I've had awful luck before this car, but these two repairs seemed pretty minor overall. The only complaint that I have about this car is the length of the front. With the car being low, I have to be careful when backing out of driveways or pulling up to a curb so as not to damage the front. The 4D is the roomiest sedan I've ever been in. There is tremendous trunk space also. I used this car while moving back and forth from college and the amount of space it has was so great to be able to pack everything in. The gas mileage is good but not the best out there. I find that keeping the oil changes up to date improves the gas mileage a lot. Overall I have been extremely pleased with this car. I think it's a great car for those looking for reliability and space."

"I've owned my 2004 Stratus R/T for about six months now, with no issues other than replacing engine mounts, probably from previous owner abuse. It's extremely comfortable and fun to drive, especially with the Infinity sound system. I got 28.77 mpg on a trip from Georgia back home to Kentucky and it was an enjoyable trip because of the car itself. I would definitely recommend this vehicle."
