The Chevy Camaro receives a number of improvements for the 2013 model year, highlights of which include an available MyLink Infotainment system with navigation, hill-start assist for manual-transmission models, electric power steering for SS trims and a new track-ready 1LE package designed to bridge the performance gap between Camaro SS models and the range-topping ZL1.
For 2012, the V6 Camaro gains an additional 11 horsepower, bringing its total output to 323. Also new this year is a 45th Anniversary package that adds specific hood and deck stripes, 20-inch wheels and special interior trim. Other changes include a new steering wheel design, a power lift feature for the passenger seat, and the addition of a rearview camera to the Rear Vision Package. The high-performance ZL1 is set to debut early in 2012 with a 550-horsepower supercharged V8 engine.
For 2011, the V6 Camaro gains an additional eight horsepower, bringing its total output to 312. Also new this year is the limited availability of Synergy Green Metallic paint on all trims, while a Head-Up Display is made standard on Camaro 2LT and 2SS trims.
There are some who work in the halls of General Motors' newest partner, the federal government, who might find a V8-powered sports model like the Chevrolet Camaro the wrong car at the wrong time, but we believe consumers voting with their hard-earned dollars will feel otherwise. Whether in V8 trim or powered by the also-available V6, the 2010 Camaro is not just a car to be respected; it's a car to be celebrated. Not only does the new model evoke all the good emotions of an earlier time, it also should provide just those same kinds of emotions for new generations who remember the Camaro only as the noisy relic owned by the old guy at the end of the cul-de-sac. The 426-horsepower SS model certainly grabs the headlines, but the 304-horsepower V6-equipped LT offers significantly more performance than you might expect, while turning in laudable fuel efficiency.
