An ICE is an internal combustion engine that burns fuel in a chamber to create motion. Internal combustion engines include gasoline engines, diesel engines, turbines, jet engines, and rocket engines. Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) use an ICE next to one or more electric motors; battery electric vehicles (BEVs) use only electric motors.
