What Is CCS?

CCS, or Combined Charging System, is an electric vehicle charging system promoted by the CharIN association that can use either Alternating Current or Direct Current charging. Automakers supporting CCS include Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Fiat, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Tesla, and Volkswagen. See also, ChaDeMo, SAE J1772.
