Volvo vehicles include 12 years/Unlimited miles of corrosion protection, 4 years/unlimited miles of road side assistance, and finally, 3 years/36,000 miles of complimentary scheduled maintenance.
Volvo maintenance guidelines are determined by a Service Reminder Indicator (SRI) that alerts owners when Service is due. For simplicity’s sake, the firm schedules service to occur every 10,000 miles. Volvo Increased Protection Plans are customizable extended versions of their limited warranty contracts. They can be configured in a number of different ways with varying terms and mileage ranging from one to eight years, and the ability to run the warranty out to a maximum mileage of 120,000 miles. Deductibles are involved and can range from $0 to $250. Coverage is also available for leased Volvos and certified pre-owned Volvos with a $0-$100 deductible option.
VIP coverage is fully backed by Volvo, uses only genuine Volvo parts, and is performed by factory-trained technicians. VIP members can take advantage of total coverage up to $75 per incident, rental reimbursement coverage up to $35 per day, and travel coverage if you break down more than 100 miles from home. The plans are transferable to new owners if you choose to sell your vehicle, apply if you are traveling through Canada, and can be rolled into the total purchase price for payment on a monthly basis.
