After leasing or buying your new Volvo car or SUV, it’s recommended to have repairs or concerns handled by your local Volvo dealer. Consider them your first point of contact for proper care, repair and maintenance because they will use genuine Volvo replacement parts and will have the latest service bulletins and recall notices as issued by the manufacturer.

In the case of a leased vehicle, many lease contracts, including those from Volvo Car Financial Services, will require the use of original equipment parts when it comes to making the vehicle whole again.

Training

Volvo-certified mechanics have received a variety of training courses through Universal Technical Institute (UTI) that ready them for a career as a Volvo certified technician. Volvo-certified technicians continue to take periodic courses in order to keep their certification current.

Loan car policy

Certain Volvo dealers may offer loaner vehicles for their service customers although this is not a required practice. If possible, we would recommend calling ahead for a service appointment to avoid any disappointment. If your Volvo car or SUV is in for collision repair, the extended use of a loaner or rental vehicle may be covered by an insurance policy rider.
