These vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 301, "Fuel System Integrity". The fuel filter bracket configuration margins are insufficient. In the event of a vehicle crash, fuel leakage could occur. Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source can result in a fire.
