Critical Review
2022 Tundra hybrid 2000 miles, 2 mos old. Catastrophic failure while driving. Engine steering and brakes all completely shut down, thankfully i made it safe. TOYOTA won't make good, nor will the dealer. I purchased Toyota for Quality and service, i got neither and im a life long Toyota guy, I've owned 4 and they could care less. They want to put in a make believe fix they they admitted they have no clue about and for me to risk my life and hope it work, I'm the test dummy. They're truly terrible people at a terrible company.

Powerful smooth engine. Fairly comfortable
Terrible navigation screen that costs $15/month. Poorly designed radio. Key fob does not have remote start.
Navigation screen is so poorly designed it doesn't even have a compass and they want $15/month for it. The Navigation screen is by far the worst I have ever seen. The old 15 year out Garmin I have to plug in has a better data display then the new Toyota. The radio is difficult to use safely as it requires looking at the screen to touch a small button if trying to use FM radio. There are not any dials to change stations so you must look at screen when trying to change FM station. The key fob doesn't have remote start ability. Remote start has to be paid for using internet connection.
Lots of power when you need it
Sucks on gas like a V8
It’s been a year and honestly my only criticism is that the fuel efficiency could be better. I have the Limited with out the hybrid system. Build quality everything is tight better than Tesla. And a really comfortable ride.
Power. Handling. Visibility
Reliability. Customer service.
My Tundra is my 4th Toyota. I like the truck, power is great. MPG’s are good for a large vehicle. The large screen is poorly used and has almost zero customization's available. GM and Ford offer much much more. Just got my Tundra serviced and told I had to recondition all 4 brake rotors due to warping. The truck has been shaking violently since 10,000 miles. Never ride my brakes. Toyota told me to eat the cost no discussion. The truck “clunks” randomly that sounds like it’s coming from the engine compartment. Remote start is useless. The key fob works 10% of the time. The truck has to have all windows closed, and locked to work. Then when you open any door or unlock the truck it shuts off. Why?!? Never had another car act like this. My irritation is more with Toyota than the truck. The once great customer service is gone. Reliability has gone downhill. This will be my last Toyota.
It’s a great truck lots of decals but it’s Toyota so it’s not a big deal. I got new breaks and a new engine for free. Nothing went wrong with mine. But they still replaced.
Power
Very cheap grill and body and bumpers and interior
I’ve put about 1000 miles on it. Doesn’t feel like Toyota quality. My previous 2 generations of the Tundra felt like they built it for me to try to get a million miles out of it. This one feels like they aren’t expecting it to hit 200,000 miles
Spacious, comfortable and utilitarian, 32 gallon gas tank, TRD package and great styling
Front Window visibility, no step up to truck bed
I just purchased this 2026 Toyota Tundra SR5 2 weeks ago
Smooth ride, resale value best in class, toyota
V8 haters hate
Solid tow truck with a great ride. Pulls my trailer with no issues. Would buy again. This will be my truck for the next 10 years at least
I bought this truck because of the impressive hp and torque numbers but overall I wish I would have saved 30k and bought a second gen. The turning radius on the hybrid is worse than my old power wagon. The nanny features from the coffee break, the unending beeping, parking brake, etc make the driving experience unpleasant. Actual mpg with stock tires I never got better than 17mpg. Aside from that I have had to take the truck in in two years of ownership for nuisance issues more than all the other vehicles I have owned combined..
